Laura Evenson is a wonderful life coach who is trained under Martha Beck, Oprah Winfrey’s life coach. I luckily had the pleasure to work with her not only on my mental health, but on her professional business website.

Laura Evenson Life Coaching

Starting from Scratch

We decided to create Laura’s website using Squarespace. We bounced ideas off each other and she sent me an inspiration picture of a VW van since she has a love for travel and has done so throughout Europe with the help of the iconic van.

From there I went on to create a rough sketch of the blueprint of the website so we could visualize the formatting. I also came up with color scheme options for Laura to choose from of what resonates best with her brand. I also came up with some logo designs for her incorporating her name and the van.

This was the one we landed on. Laura liked the simplicity of her name and an elegant script font. I saved this one from dafonts.com called, BrittanySignature.

These are the different options I sent Laura’s way for her website color scheme. She chose 4 no hesitation. Proceeding with that, I started sculpting the website and this was the first rough draft

Getting Down to Business

Not too much progress was done at this point so it was easy to pivot to a different direction. Laura felt that she wanted her color schemes to be earthy tones instead, so I went back to the drawing board. I found some inspiration pictures and went from there. Here is the full structure of the site after the fact.

These are the pages of the site and the coaching page has a dropdown menu. I coded the Logo onto the site using CSS since the chosen font wasn’t already available.

After many hours of problem solving and discussing with Laura. The website is created and below is a click through of the pages I made.
