There are plenty of apps that exist in this world that could use a face lift. One of those apps would be a video sharing social media application called Marco Polo. I’ve been using Marco Polo since my freshman year of college to keep in contact with my home friend since we had differing schedules. The app entails the users sending each other videos back and forth to keep in touch.

I do enjoy what the app has to offer and I am a loyal user, but the design is dated and there are changes that I believe should be made for the better. After many weeks of studying the app and taking notes on user interface as well as user experiences. I underwent plenty of critiques throughout the design process to help me get other opinions. I created wireframes and hosted user testing to make sure the app was easy to navigate.

It’s important as a designer to ensure the goals are being met and that I accomplish what I believe is lacking in the real deal. I did the brunt of the design work on Adobe XD and I enjoyed taking something that already exists and cleaning it up.
